AND A NEW EARTH...

So in the last week I participated in a collaboration started by HitREcord.org

HitREcord is basically an organization started by Joseph Gordon-Levitt where artists, musicians, editors ect all connect with one another and make projects/collaborations or share what they make with other people who can use it as a resource for their own projects/collaborations.

Anyway, what I participated in was a video called "And a new earth", which was shown at Sundance (a well-known independent film festival) previously last year- which I believed gained positive feedback. So the creator of the film and Joseph Gordon-Levitt himself, asked graphic designers to make typographic designs that contain the phrases said within it.

I decided to create a graphic for the last line:

Overall, the whole idea of the film was to superimpose these images and graphics of the phrases when they are said. Since last years version of this film was only plain subtitles at the bottom, I guess this made it a bit more interesting as well as the face that last year, the voice saying the lines in this film was a computer and this time, it is pronounced by people. It added it a really raw feeling and gave me chills when I listened to it!


Anyways, I'm gonna stay up to watch it stream live. Way too excited.
